book club

Thursday mornings: 9:30 – 11:30am, at CHS, during school terms.

The CHS Women’s Book Club offers a weekly time to dig into The Book, using a variety of tools, and to discuss what we have found and how that affects the way we live.

The format varies, but often there is a teaching – whether live or from a DVD such as those based on books or studies by Philip Yancey, Beth Moore, David Pawson or Priscilla Shrire – and then time to discuss what we’ve heard and to share what has come up during the week from individual exploration of the Bible. For the discussion time, women are in smaller groups of 6-10.

Our aims:
 To grow more attentive to God through our days and more ready to respond to the promptings of the Holy Spirit;
 To grow in love for one another – listening to one another, praying for one another, doing practical acts of service, giving words of encouragement, sharing what makes our hearts laugh and cry;
 To become more like Jesus amidst the challenges of our world, making a difference as He leads.
Women of all ages are welcome. Child care may be organised for mothers of young kids, if requested before the start of term. Please contact the CHS office for more details on 021 701 3201, or email Martha at info@chscapetown.org.
